Partnership Delivers Frontline Success
A successful partnership between Foster’s Group and Australia-wide Business Training is delivering business leadership training and accreditation to Foster’s production managers around Australia.
This program, known as Team Leadership at Foster’s, combines the necessary accreditation rigour provided by awbt, while the content is driven by Foster’s business imperatives. Delivered by the Foster’s Learning & Development team, the program operates at several brewing and wine production sites around the country.

“Team Leadership provides essential business leadership training at Foster’s and gives participants an externally recognised qualification as well”.
A work based project links the six multi-day workshops over the duration of the program, which generally spans 6-8 months.
Russell Fisher, a Team Leader in the Packaging Hall at the Abbotsford site has this to say, “I had only been in my role as team leader for a short time before commencing the course. I had many things I wanted to change with my team so I used the course structure as a tool to help develop some of those ideas. The ability to have some guidance and tools to use instead of trying to learn it through trial and error was a great benefit and I believe it lowered the amount of mistakes I may have made along the way.”
